A big-hitting left-hand batter and a crafty right-arm off-spinner, Simon hails from York, England. He currently serves as the captain-coach of Hoppers Crossing Cricket Club's first eleven, where his leadership and cricketing prowess have made a significant impact. Simon's cricketing journey is illustrious, marked by exceptional performances and consistent excellence. Over six seasons in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA) with St Albans and Sub District club St Bernards, Simon has accumulated 3,148 runs, including eight centuries. His batting prowess is complemented by his bowling achievements, with 97 wickets to his name, highlighted by remarkable figures of 8/29. These statistics underscore Simon's versatility and effectiveness as a cricketer. In England, Simon has played county cricket for Warwickshire and Leicestershire, showcasing his talent at a high level. His association with the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is particularly noteworthy, having represented the MCC over 100 times. One of his standout performances includes a scintillating 78* off 66 balls in a T20 match against the 2018 Aboriginal side featuring notable players like Scott Boland and Dan Christian. Such performances reflect Simon's ability to excel in various formats and conditions. Beyond his playing achievements, Simon has been deeply involved in coaching, focusing on junior development. He has held various coaching roles with cricket clubs in Australia, where his expertise has been instrumental in nurturing young talent.
